
We are pleased to share information regarding our 2026 Summer Program including program options, schedules and session requirements.

All summer programs commence the week of July 6th and run until August 20th, 2026.

All skaters MUST register for the highest session they qualify for at the time of registration. SCBC reserves the right to modify session qualifications for safety and capacity concerns.
Registration for all 2026 summer programs will open on Wednesday, May 13th at 12:00pm.
PAYMENT
Payment must be made by credit card or using credits on file. All payments must be in CAD dollars. The SCBC Board reserves the right to amend the individual session qualifications and change the posted schedule at any time, as necessary for successful operation of club programming.
Members who register for 5 or more weeks of the daytime programs (at one time) will receive a 10% discount. This is only available by registering for all 5+ weeks (per skater) at the same time on a single invoice. Payment instalment options for daytime summer programs are available.
SCBC BASE REGISTRATION FEE
When registering for any SCBC scheduled session, the following base registration fee will be automatically added to your invoice:
- Skate Canada Registrant Fee $29.00 (Mandated by Skate Canada)
- Skate Ontario Registrant Fee $28.00 (Mandated by Skate Ontario)
- Skate Canada Safe Sport Fee $5.00 (Mandated by Skate Canada)
- Skate Canada Insurance Fee $0.70 (Mandated by Skate Canada)
- SCBC Administration Fee $5.30
Total: $68.00
This base registration fee (covering Sept 1, 2025 – Aug 31, 2026) is collected by SCBC and remitted to Skate Canada on the skater’s behalf.
SCBC is also proud to offer a Teen/Adult CanSkate session. This program is open to skaters ages 12 and older who are looking to learn the basics of skating.
The summer session runs from July 6th and run until August 20th, 2026.
**There are no programs running on Monday August 3rd, 2026.

CanSkate participants are required to register for a minimum of one (1) day. CanSkate participants are free to register for additional session at their choosing.
Registration for all 2026 summer programs will open on Wednesday, May 13th at 12:00pm.
SCBC is pleased to offer a weekly daytime skating program for 7 weeks this summer from July 6th through August 20th. Skaters may select anywhere between 1 and 7 weeks of the program.
**There are no programs running on Monday August 3rd, 2026.

Qualifications & Programming
- STAR 1: Completed in full CanSkate Stage 5
- On ice session includes 60min of small group lessons taught by senior members of the SCBC coaching staff
- Intended for skaters new to StarSkate who are not yet working on a freeskate solo
- STAR 2 – 4: Competed with a Star 2 freeskate program or higher during the 2025-2026 season
- Each on-ice session includes 1x 15min group lesson taught by a member of the SCBC coaching staff
- STAR 5 – Gold: Completed Full Star 5 Freeskate OR Completed Full Star 6 Dances
- Second on-ice session includes 1x 15min group lesson taught by a member of the SCBC coaching staff
Off-Ice Programming
Off-ice training classes will involve a combination of indoor and outdoor physical activity (weather permitting), please ensure your skater is properly attired and equipped:
- Running shoes
- Athletic layers
- Yoga mat and skipping rope
- Ballet shoes (recommended for ballet classes)
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
Additional Programs
We are pleased to offer a STAR 5 – Gold supplemental Friday package including a performance/artistry class. Please scroll down to the bottom of this page to see more information on this opportunity.

Members who register for 5 or more weeks of the daytime programs (at one time on one invoice) will receive a 10% discount.
Registration for all 2026 summer programs will open on Wednesday, May 13th at 12:00pm.
SCBC is pleased to offer a weekly daytime skating program for our high performance athletes this summer from July 6th through August 20th. Skaters may select anywhere between 1 and 7 weeks of the program.
**There are no programs running on Monday, August 3rd or Friday, August 21st.


Qualifications
COMPETITIVE:
- Competing at the Pre-Juvenile to Senior level in Freeskate during the 2026-2027 season
ICE DANCE:
- By invitation of the SCBC Ice Dance Coaching Team
Off-Ice Programming
Off-ice training classes will involve a combination of indoor and outdoor physical activity (weather permitting), please ensure your skater is properly attired and equipped:
- Running shoes
- Athletic layers
- Yoga mat and skipping rope
- Ballet shoes (recommended for ballet classes)
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle

Registration for all 2026 summer programs will open on Wednesday, May 13th at 12:00pm.
SCBC is pleased to offer a summer program for Gold Ice skaters at the Novice, Gold (Intermediate) and Junior level. This program offers synchronized skaters a chance to work closely with members of the Gold Ice coaching team to improve their skating skills ahead of the 2026-2027 competitive season.
The program is taught by members of our Gold Ice coaching team. All sessions will take place at Cassie Campbell Community Centre.

Skaters may select anywhere between 1 and 7 weeks of the program. Please note there are no programs running on Monday, August 3rd, 2026.
Weekly Package Includes
- Group and semi-private coaching lesson fees included
Qualifications
- Member of one of the following 2026-2027 Gold Ice teams:
- Novice
- Gold (Intermediate)
- Junior
- OR by invitation of the coaching staff

New this summer we are pleased to offer a supplemental package for our Star 5 – Gold skaters which includes an additional on-ice session on Fridays, a 30min stroking class as well as an off-ice Performance and Artistry class.

Qualifications
- Skaters who qualify for the Star 5 – Gold session are eligible to register for this package.
