SCBC is pleased to share information on our 2021 Summer Program program which will take place during Stage 3 of the Ontario Reopening framework. We are so excited about our return to on-ice programming after 8 long months and look forward to welcoming back our skaters, coaches, and SCBC family.


SCBC will be closely following recommendations set out by Peel Public Health, Skate Ontario and the City of Brampton as we resume our on-ice training programs. Detailed policies and procedures will be communicated to all program participants ahead of time. Registration for all summer programs will open via Uplifter on Friday, July 16th at 9:00am.

Payment may be made by credit card or credit on account from prior suspended programs – through our online registration system. All payment must be in CAD dollars. The SCBC Board reserves the right to amend the individual session qualifications and change the posted schedule at any time, as necessary for successful operation of club programming.

When registering for any SCBC program, the following fees will be automatically added to your invoice:

  • Skate Canada Membership Fee $40.00 (Mandated by Skate Canada)
  • Skate Canada Safe Sport Fee $3.00 (Mandated by Skate Canada)
  • Skate Canada Insurance Fee $0.65 (Mandated by Skate Canada)
  • SCBC Administration Fee $9.35

Total: $53.00

These annual fees (covering Sept 1, 2020 – Aug 31, 2021) are collected by SCBC and remitted to Skate Canada on the skater’s behalf.

We are offering a 6-week program beginning the week of July 26th and running until September 2nd. The program will include ice time as well as off-ice classes. All sessions will take place at Cassie Campbell Community Centre.

Each week of the program runs for 4 days (Monday to Thursday aside from week 2 which runs from Tuesday to Friday due to the civic holiday) and skaters may select anywhere between 1 and 6 weeks of the program.



WEEKLY PACKAGE INCLUDES

  • 1x 75min on ice session per day (including a 15min group lesson taught by a member of our coaching team)
  • 1x 45min off-ice session per day (2x fitness and 2x jump classes each week)
    • Off Ice classes will be taught outside so skaters are asked to come prepared for the weather. In the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms, classes will move inside for the day


QUALIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE & FEES

Session B/C:

Skaters must have completed CanSkate Stage 6.

Schedule:

Mondays – Thursdays:

On Ice: 8:30 – 9:45am

Off-Ice: 10:00 – 10:45am

Fee: $105.00 per week

*Week 2 will run Tuesday to Friday*


Session A:

Skaters must have completed all Star 8 Dances OR the full Star 6 Freeskate assessment.

Schedule:

Mondays to Thursdays:

On-Ice: 10:15 – 11:30am

Off-Ice: 11:45 – 12:30pm

Fee: $105.00 per week

*Week 2 will run Tuesday to Friday*



At this level it is mandatory for skaters to obtain and work with a private coach. Please refer to the “Coaches” section on our website to obtain SCBC contracted coaches’ bios and contact information if you have not secured the services of a private coach at this time.

CanSkate is Skate Canada’s Learn-To-Skate Session. Skaters must have reached 4 years of age by December 31st, 2021 to register for the CanSkate program.

We are excited to be able to offer a 5 week CanSkate program this summer. The session will run from the week of July 26th until August 30th.



QUALIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE & FEES

At this time we are pleased to share that all skaters including beginners are welcome back to our CanSkate program. Our coaches and program assistants are able to provide hands-on assistance to skaters as of Stage 3 of the Reopening framework.

During our Summer CanSkate program, all Coaches and Program Assistants will be wearing masks. Skaters may choose to keep their masks on or remove them during the on-ice class.


There are two sessions to choose from:

Mondays: 7:00 – 7:45pm OR

Wednesdays: 7:00 – 7:45pm

*There are no sessions on Monday, August 2nd or Wednesday, September 1st.*

CanSkate participants are required to register for a minimum of one (1) day. CanSkate participants are free to register for additional sessions at their choosing.

Fee: $85 for the 5 week program,

New to SCBC this year year is a program open to all Gold Ice skaters at the Novice, Intermediate and Junior level. This program offers synchronized skaters a chance to work closely with members of the Gold Ice coaching team to improve their skating skills ahead of the 2021-2022 competitive season.

SCBC is offering a 6-week program beginning the week of July 26th and running until September 2nd. The program is taught by members of our Gold Ice coaching team. All sessions will take place at Cassie Campbell Community Centre.

Each week of the program runs for 4 days (Monday to Thursday – aside from week 2 which runs from Tuesday to Friday due to the civic holiday) and skaters may select anywhere between 1 and 6 weeks of the program.



Weekly Package Includes:

  • 1x 90min on ice session per day
  • All on-ice coaching costs


Qualifications, Schedule & Fees:

Skaters must be a member of Gold Ice Novice, Intermediate or Junior.


Morning session schedule:

Weeks 1-4:

On Ice: 10:30 – 12:00pm
