A recent communication was published by Skate Canada outlining an increase to Registrant fees for the 2019-2020 season.
Here is the communication from Skate Canada:
Skate Canada’s mission is to be a leader in the delivery of skating programs and to have a continuing legacy of champions. In order to achieve this goal, it is critical that best in class programs are developed and executed by Skate Canada, our clubs, skating schools and coaches. This is facilitated in part, through the collection of a fee from all those who participate. The registrant fee is shared equally between Skate Canada and our Sections in carrying out our respective objectives. In consultation with all Skate Canada Sections, we have determined that, in order to accomplish our collective goals, keep in step with inflation and provide expanded avenues for growth and development of all our registrants, the registrant fee will be increased to Forty Dollars ($40.00) for the 2019-2020 registration year.
This is effective as of September 1st 2019 and the increase will be reflective in SCBC Admin fees starting in the 2019-2020 Fall/Winter/Spring season.
Thank you for your understanding.
