SCBC is proud to congratulate the following athletes who qualified for the 2024 Skate Canada Novice National Championships & Skate Canada Cup which was held February 22nd – 25th in Waterloo, Ontario.
- Madison Tong & Gabriel Liu – Novice Dance
- Gold Ice Novice – Novice Synchronized Skating
- Gold Ice Intermediate – Intermediate Synchronized Skating
Madison and Gabriel entered their first National Championships as a team after coming back from injury. We are so proud of their determination and hard work that led them to this point. Congratulations Madison & Gabriel!
Gold Ice Novice have been working hard all season long and finished off their season with two solid skates in a very strong category. With a season’s best score they finished in 5th overall.
Gold Ice Intermediate had an outstanding 2023-2024 season. Despite 16 of the teams 17 members being new to the team, their hard work and dedication has paid off with fantastic performances all season long and 3 podium finishes. Unfortunate errors in their first skate had the team heading into the final skate in 10th place. They were able to bounce back with a strong performance, finishing 6th in the second skate and 7th overall.
